Healthy Heroes
An interactive, wellness initiative with a farmer’s market style reward system. This project is designed to encourage elementary-aged students to develop healthy habits through daily choices at school. Children become “sprouts” on a journey toward strength by completing simple wellness activities.
Activities fall into three key areas: Fun Physical Activities like sports, extra walking and stretching. Mindfulness and Mental Health practices such as helping a friend, writing in a gratitude journal or “Mindfulness Minutes.” Nutrition and Healthy Eating challenges like drinking 3 bottles of water during the day, finishing their fruits and veggies or choosing a healthier snack.
Each healthy action earns points toward exciting prizes, such as, fresh produce, bento boxes, outdoor play items, etc.
With each choice, students grow stronger—sprouting into Healthy Heroes, one healthy habit at a time.

Donations will be used to purchase needed hygiene items this winter season and hand delivered to seniors locally the first week of December.
Tobacco Cessation
A tobacco-free environment helps create a safe and healthy campus. Smoking and secondhand smoke are known to cause serious lung diseases, heart disease and cancer.
